Construction & Municipal Surveys

Traditional surveying for construction sites, infrastructure projects, and municipalities: setting out, as-built surveys, terrain mapping, and technical municipal measurements. Fieldwork is carried out with Leica total stations and GNSS equipment, giving us the flexibility to work efficiently on both open sites and constrained urban environments.

Laser Scanning (LiDAR)

We operate across the full range of laser scanning platforms, matching the method to each project:

  • Airborne laser scanning (ALS)

Phoenix LiDAR Ranger Ultra system with a Riegl VUX-120 lidar sensor, flown on manned helicopter, fixed-wing aircraft, or the heavy Avartek Boxer Hybrid drone depending on project scale and access. Suited to corridor mapping, terrain modelling, and large-area surveys, including forested and otherwise difficult terrain.

  • Mobile laser scanning (MLS)

Vehicle-mounted scanning with a Riegl VMQ-1 mobile laser scanner, producing dense, georeferenced point clouds for roads, rail corridors, and infrastructure asset management.

  • Terrestrial laser scanning (TLS)

Static, high-resolution scanning with Riegl VZ-400 and Leica BLK360 (Gen 2) scanners, for detailed structural and site documentation.

Photogrammetry

Aerial photogrammetry from both UAV and manned-aircraft platforms. UAV imagery is captured with two DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise RTK drones while manned-aircraft missions use Sony ILX-LR1 cameras, capturing both nadir and oblique imagery, to cover larger project areas. Output includes orthophotos, digital surface/terrain models, and imagery for engineering, planning, and asset documentation.

Multibeam Sonar Surveys

Multibeam sonar surveys using a high resolution Teledyne Marine SeaBat T20-P multibeam echosounder supporting harbour, coastal, and waterway projects. Positioning relies on a high quality GNSS/INS system (Applanix POS MV WaveMaster II) and PPK processing. Surveys are carried out from a Faster 635 SC for offshore and open-water work, and a custom aluminium boat with side pontoons for shallow-water access.
